The European Commission recently announced that it would investigate the role of social leasing as a way to increase access to clean products such as electric vehicles and heat pumps. France recently introduced a scheme for electric cars, which was so successful that it ran out of cash shortly after its start.

What can we learn from this example? Can the lessons learnt apply to heat pump leasing? How will social leasing models improve access to electrified solutions? What can governments do to get these models running?

On 13 May, we’re pleased to welcome to the Electrification Academy Marie Chéron, e-mobility expert at NGO Transport and Environment (T&E), and Jason Goldstein, VP for Strategic Finance & Treasury at thermondo, one of Germany’s leading cleantechs and the largest heat pump installer, to discuss:

  • Lessons learnt from the French electric car social leasing scheme
  • Current heat as a service models in Germany and their impact on heat pump roll out
  • Prospects for business developments
  • Enabling policy frameworks

We will be joined by my colleague Duncan Gibb, who is researching innovative business models for heat pump roll out and solutions for low-income households.

Join the conversation by registering for the webinar. We invite you to bring your questions.
