Are you a passionate and experienced energy policy professional ready to work one of Europe’s most pressing energy and climate challenges? Cool Heating Coalition is looking for a Policy Officer to join our growing team and drive meaningful change in one of the EU’s most energy-intensive sectors. The deadline for applications is 15 August.
Heating and cooling currently account for nearly half of the EU’s energy use, yet fossil fuels still dominate the sector. Founded in 2023, the Cool Heating Coalition brings together leading NGOs and think tanks working to decarbonise heating and cooling in the EU, and ensure a just transition for citizens and communities. Through policy work and strategic EU-level advocacy, we aim to push this issue to the top of the political agenda.
We’re now seeking an experienced Policy Officer to help turn momentum into action. You’ll work closely with our director and junior policy officer to develop and implement strategies that shift EU policy, support our members, and accelerate a fair, renewable-based heating and cooling transition.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in EU energy policy, climate advocacy, or campaigning who’s ready to bring political insight, creativity, and a sense of mission to the table. You should have at least 4–6 years of experience, a track record of impactful EU advocacy, and a good understanding of the processes and dynamics of EU politics.
If you’re ready to help put clean, climate-friendly heating and cooling at the heart of EU climate and energy policy, we’d love to hear from you.
